School as it currently exists is one of the worst things about civilization. If I had to choose between stopping global warming or ending all school (with decent alternatives) I would probably end all school.

Do you mean just mandatory public schooling? Because if we eliminated *all* school, many people would still seek out tutors etc. and eventually somebody would "bundle" a package of tutors together and rent a building and boom, you just invented private school.

As yall probably know, I was homeschooled from birth to the end of 'high school', and cut off from most secular culture - except for 3 months, when I attended public school at the age of 14, and ran into a lot of public school norms that shocked and confused me (cont).

They kind of exist. There are schools like Fusion Academy and Futures Academy that provide one-on-one instruction as the norm. Hope to see more alternative models like them in the future.

Be that as it may it would be very inefficient as the student to teacher ratio would be very bad. Which would mean there would be a shortage of teachers. Maybe a technological solution to dispersing schooling would be more beneficial.
