i see lots of ppl who hating on billionaires failing to understand that wealth is less a reflection of "how much work you put in" and more a reflection of "how much value you create for others". Create a shitton of value, get a shitton of dollars, who cares about the labor part

In a massively interdependent world who exactly “created the value” is never really clear. Like all other stories about wealth and why people have it this one doesn’t really work I think.

You had me until the “who cares about the labor part”
I care about the labor part
And so do our countrymen and countrywomen
Not everyone has access to equity

Uh, I mean, the people doing the labor? People want a sense of reward being proportional to exertion. Just because it's not doesn't mean they're daft for having that feeling.

And, I mean, the value "they" are creating is the product of the labor of a lot of people, who are not remunerated to such an extent.

Laborers not being adequately reimbursed for their labor care, especially when the odds are so stacked against them.

I think it's fair to be critical of the working conditions some of these billionaires create and be worried about income inequality while also believing most billionaires are a net positive for the world.
