Tangent answer: making sure no kid gets confined in a narrow worldview like that is one of the reasons I am, in principle, for mandatory public education. The role of the State is to protect the citizens, that include protecting kids against their parents' madness.

Well, some of my years in public education were among the best things that happened for me. So… Society is always about compromise. We forsake the thrill of the hunt for the safety of a full belly. Avoiding kids less resilient than you be messed for life is worth considering.
