how accurate are covid tests for the delta variant? as in, if you have the delta variant and get a standard covid pcr test, are you more likely to test negative?

It makes no difference, the test markers are not part of the variance.

My impression is that the main source of error is not getting viral genetic material on the swab when taking a sample. So if the delta variant has different symptoms or a different viral load, naively I would think it might have different accuracy.
