he's gettin some shit for the rich part but if you can put aside the jealousy this is a cool thread (often we think our lives would be better if circumstances changed, and sometimes that's true but often our own mind just keeps following us)

a few days ago i took a medium dose of acid and wrote for several hours straight and admitted some things to myself, mostly about money let's start here: last august my mom gave me $100,000 for my birthday. i resented her for this and also suppressed the resentment

also I wanna say I'm impressed at talking so openly at a privileged thing that's inevitably gonna piss people off, that's hard man and why you almost never see rich people processing their feelings around it in front of others

people have really different approaches to different things; some things in my life were obvious to me faster than most others, and I was much slower than others in different areas. we're all human, it's OK to have different paces

I don’t know if jealousy would best describe the root of many people’s judgement on this thread. When it comes to someone “complaining” about their privileges, I can understand why this thread is hard to resonate/sympathize with, especially when it can be triggering.

reads sort of manipulatively to me. like, half-truths and deliberate framing. which may be an accurate reflection of inner dialogue but yeah, i didn't finish the thread feeling like i trusted what i had read very much.
