naw, i mean i think it's extremely important to teach about racism, slavery, and the impacts it's had reaching to today - I'm talkin about full on CRT stuff, which has many other things bundled in
all yall are so uncharitable here; twitter is hard to have nuanced debates with, I'm trying to say that my conception of CRT involves things *in addition* to teaching about racism, that seem damaging to me. Your conception about CRT may be different and i'm open to hearing that
Well, what is damaging? One or two examples are important. There's a big difference between "it makes the US look bad" vs "An overreliance on neo-Marxist economic theory needlessly interjects class struggle into a debate that should concentrate on the law and its racist origins".
My conception of algebra includes learning how to make a perfect soufflé, so my child is now a world-class baker at age 15. As are all children, because my conception means that all algebra classes must be teaching soufflé-making. But I prefer creme brûlée, so this is wrong.
