On my previous survey, men reported being into more things than women; something else is obviously going on here. Score was weighted by how taboo each fetish was, so this seems to imply women are into fewer, but more taboo things? Not intuitive. Will have to investigate further.

another theory is that i posted on reddit and fetlife; reddit responses have mostly men, fetlife is slightly more balanced, with more women, so I may have gotten disproportionately kinky women

I'd favor median over mean to characterize the distribution, since long-tail will bias the latter.

Lol I scored 8. I always knew I was the least kinky person in the world but I would have never expected to be such an outlier!

I would extrapolate from this that because your audience has so few women, you’re selecting for a somewhat small unusually kinky portion of the female population as compared to a larger somewhat kinky population of the male population
