How did his being woke remove the reflective perspective?
He starts w/ world context (just as in Make Happy) and then completely immerses in his own inadequacy, aging, insecurity, depression, isolation, artifice, etc. “He doesn’t self reflect”+”how could critics like it” are such absurd takes to have for having not even seen 25% of it

I'm half-way through and it seems to me like he's making fun of both woke-types and himself. From the left, of course (gotta be able to poke fun at your own), but the irony is deliberate and thick.

That was my first reaction too, but then again he’s always joked about all races, so it makes sense he’d joke about white people. And idk what other jokes he could rly make that wouldn’t seem tone deaf and fall flat, considering everything that’s going on in America & the world.
