SAD for me has more to do with sunlight than temp. I grew up in Chicago and never had problems with it (surprisingly Chicago is quite sunny in winter) but in gloomy, warm but rainy France, I had SAD every winter and very hard

I do take vitamin D supplements in the winter. Big difference in mood if I don't

for me is mostly exercise and staying active, vitamin D gives more mild of a change
