Arousal lets you bypass the absurdity, which is why there is occasionally such a contrast in mood after orgasm. "oh. Did I really say/do/enjoy those things?"

It's sad that this manifests as disgust or shame for a lot of people.

LSD (permanently) allows you to transcend premises but not biases. Seems to be the friction here. Gross=Guilty, that's a premise. Male sexuality=Gross, that's a bias. The former is unevaluated, the latter is evaluated against narrow data.

ridiculousness is an emotional reaction, not an objective property of things you might as well say "if you have different emotional reactions to this, you'll have different emotional reactions" a tautology

Woman are also transformative monsters. Just usually in a different way. As a species, we're fucking ridiculous.

Well, as sex is primarily about power for 99% of the population, it makes sense why it could seen as absurd

-
I think sex is a mode of communication/expression - in some cases, it may be power, but it can also be love, affection, a display of physical fitness, etc.

its only absurd until you meet the right person. never once in the past five years have i felt [those feelings] after. in fact, i'd feel more complete. finding the right person is the hardest part tho. so much so that your view is the main perspective...
