i often hear people saying that CRT is misunderstood, but this thread was a simple, easy summary from a CRT supporter that helped clarify no, we're not misunderstanding it.
Quote Tweet
You hear US politicians disgracing themselves on TV shouting critical race theory (CRT) is a pox on all our houses, they're gonna ban it, slap it, flip it, rub it down, but have absolutely no clue what it is? Are you wondering what even is this CRT? Well, come learn. 🧵🧵 1/13

The thread makes little sense until you replace the word "tenet" with the word "axiom" and then it is super clear, except for the fact that the axioms can be "used to prove" anything. Ergo, CRT is question-begging writ large.

it's difficult to discuss politics with an interlocutor not familiar with these three tropes, concept, what ever you want to call them: who, whom? useful idiot, "it's the vote that counts but who counts the vote". another quote that comes to mind is from pauli: not even wrong

The key parts are that ALL inequality between races is put down to racism & disagreeing with a CRT-believing POC is inherently racist. They’re in the literature but left out of that tweet thread.
