I'm pretty libertarian, and open to discussion around it; I've updated my views before and acknowledge there are weaknesses. But most people responding on twitter are making arguments based on significant misunderstanding or straw men of my libertarianism views.

To me one of the most exciting prospects for the future is to imagine a civil society that runs on voluntary terms and coordinates to handle even these massive problems. Render government obsolete, as opposed to smashing it.

It can be applied to any large scale event, tbh. Doesn't have to be a pandemic. Natural disasters, supply shortages, economic instability.
