What government services do you believe are worth paying for?

In general: 1. Foreign policy and national defense 2. Protection of negative rights That's mostly it, though I'm open to smaller sub categories.

I generally think none of those above should be the domain of the government, assuming the government would have to violate the rights of of private citizens in order to take care of those goals.

Given that you believe taxation is a violation of rights, the country you want sounds materially very unpleasant for its citizens, unless something like the Alaska Fund was floating them all.

Generally, when people hear I want to abolish most taxation, they assume that there's no alternative. I really disagree; I think there is a good alternative, that would accomplish what the government does, but better. I think we'd be more prosperous than before.

I've spent time in countries with poor public health infrastructure. They were all poor third world countries. There was widespread foodborne and waterborne diseases, tuberculosis, STIs etc. Public Health is publically funded for the public benefit.

It's easy to complain about taxes, but we can accomplish far more collectively for the public good than individually. Public Education benefits us all. Roads and infrastructure as well. Without govt services we would be awash in shit, garbage and disease. Look to history...
