Trauma resulting from a zealot’s fury isn’t so much different from any other kind of violent assault. It all scars. But designing an approach to life around the possibility of their existence is ultimately limiting. It makes one think the worst is around every corner.

True, but just because people experience those feelings, doesn’t mean they get to define what’s suitable for others. If someone is triggered by an extreme kink, it should be enough for them to say it’s not for them and avoid such things. Red Lines vary for everyone.

And a lot of people aren’t. I’m not entirely sure what you’re looking for. If it’s for people to stop having coercion fantasies, that’s never going to happen. Power dynamics are such an inherent aspect of sex that dominance and submission will always be part of the equation.

I think you’re misunderstanding CNC. Consent is the first word in the acronym. It’s role-play fantasy, meant to approximate an experience within a negotiated framework. It’s not REAL coercion unless you’re doing it all wrong.

Or not. One person’s bad experience doesn’t define it for everyone else. What’s your solution? Reject and repress all sexual fantasy beyond the vanilla? If I have a fantasy in which a woman forces me to have sex at gunpoint, do I take a cold shower until it goes away?.Sounds fun.

Yep, I'm basically a TV actor (although I had real orgasms at 15% of my in-person sessions, so maybe I'm a bit more real than actors)
