I feel like I'm in crazytown when I express distress about taxation - literally people forcibly taking away your property - and ppl act like I'm the crazy one. Sure, you could argue that this forcible theft is worth it, and I'll respect that, but it's still not crazy to be upset.

It's necessary to find the right balance, but high tax rates don't seem to have ruined Scandinavian countries.

Yeah, I'd rather pay 75% tax with cradle to grave security than the 50% I pay (federal, state, county, sales, etc) currently with a lot less benefit. No public health insurance here in the US, and SSA is quite limited.
