I feel like I'm in crazytown when I express distress about taxation - literally people forcibly taking away your property - and ppl act like I'm the crazy one. Sure, you could argue that this forcible theft is worth it, and I'll respect that, but it's still not crazy to be upset.

Humm.. My business partner moved to Costa Rica and lived there for a number of years, and I thought he did not have to worry about US taxes... Doing a quick search looks like there's something called a "foreign earned income credit" that may exclude the first 100k.

And obviously no single person can control the laws, but laws can and do change all the time, based on opinions of the society as a whole. You've seen how fluid tax law is in the last few years.
