I feel like I'm in crazytown when I express distress about taxation - literally people forcibly taking away your property - and ppl act like I'm the crazy one. Sure, you could argue that this forcible theft is worth it, and I'll respect that, but it's still not crazy to be upset.

Rent is no more voluntary than taxation are. You continue to live on your landlord's land or if you continue to use a car but don't make payments on it, they have every right to seize it. It's not theft. Refusing to pay taxes is theft. You can always leave the country.

I bet if you have enough wealth that you accumulated by the privilege of being an American citizen, you can probably afford it. And sure, you still owe the landlord for skipped rent and they can take you to court.
