I feel like I'm in crazytown when I express distress about taxation - literally people forcibly taking away your property - and ppl act like I'm the crazy one. Sure, you could argue that this forcible theft is worth it, and I'll respect that, but it's still not crazy to be upset.

also re: infrastructure, there's *also* a bunch of laws that prevent healthy infrastructure development, regardless of tax rates.

You spend more money on health care precisely because you don’t have socialised healthcare. You want high quality cheap healthcare? This needs taxes.

Definitely true with more taxes=\=better outcomes. Lots of tax dollars go to waste by lining the pockets of contractors. That’s why our money should be used with some oversight. Our internet did gain some ground but it still lags behind other developed countries even to this day

We spend more money on healthcare than other developed countries with higher taxes because it is mostly privatized. You say that companies are more efficient than govt but that is objectively untrue. The profit motive mandates inefficiency.

it's the lack of single payer option at the natl level other countries collectively bargain with health care providers & get better deals vs 50+ little markets with little to no leverage and rentseeking at every level to keep it fcked
