I feel like I'm in crazytown when I express distress about taxation - literally people forcibly taking away your property - and ppl act like I'm the crazy one. Sure, you could argue that this forcible theft is worth it, and I'll respect that, but it's still not crazy to be upset.

That seems like a fair trade off to me. Bear in mind that average quality of life seems to positively correlate with taxation.

Also, by being born in the US you won a lottery of sorts and part of the bargain is the form of government. You can renounce the citizenship but then you don't get to complain that you want the benefits of being an American without paying the price
