As critical as I am of the whole thing these days, I suspect there's a very small but real correlation with people who are switches and into kink People of that temperament tend to be higher in openness which correlates postively with I.Q

Dominant/submissive is a psychological trait among primates (including humans). Dominance is probably positively correlated with professional success, and therefore money, but the correlation is definitely weak.
-
Now dominance/submissiveness IN BED (i.e. kinkyness) is very highly correlated with Openness to experience, but this is irrelevant to your question.

I heard anecdotes about powerful man being really into submission on their off time (and theory that it's to compensate their need to dominate at work) so I voted it, really curious to see results for this one.
-
These men are psychologically submissive. With intelligence and competence (or luck), they have risen to position of social dominance, which creates enormous tension in them.
