At this point many years after learning about IFS-like frames, it seems as obvious to treat the mind as having parts as it does to think of “body parts”. I don’t use a formal frame of like “Protectors, Exiles, etc” though. More improvisational.

For me, sometimes I think with words and sometimes without words. When I think with words it's always in some social context rather than just some non social thing.
