I think.... adderall might be making me *more* emotional? Isn't it supposed to flatten emotion? I do feel kinda more flattened/systemic in some way but *also* just generally closer to nice-feeling tears.

I have never taken a psychotropic drug that affected my emotions, even ones specifically supposed to flatten affect. 🤷♀️

In my experience it's mildly euphoric, which can create that feeling. It's not supposed to flatten emotion.

Well two things. 1) if it focuses you then that doesn't mean you can't get emotional, just that its more difficult 2) When you're not "on it" emotions may be stronger than normal to compensate. Note I haven't done it in 20 years

It might be taking other kinds of pressure off, allowing you to "finally feel" some degree of relief.
I've had that effect every now and then. Also personally, I don't feel like stimulant medication really flattens my emotions,it just dampens them to a more managable level.

Stimulants strengthen your emotional self-regulation, was my impression. Perhaps nice-feeling tears is secretly what you want?

No, aderall does not flatten emotion. It stimulated dopamine release (among others) which will influence ur emotions

in double-blind studies amphetamine naive users report almost the same effects as MDMA to just straight amphetamine - i think addies used sparingly is a pretty good heart opener

Stimulants such as amphetamines (adderall) increase dopamine in certain areas of brain. The type of experience that leads to varies. Legit ADHD (a neurodevelopmental disorder), it may calm. Bipolar disorder, it might blast u off to mania.
