ppl are weirdly making fun of me for calling my library shelving job physically intensive? Sure, some library jobs aren't, but I was a spry, active 17 year old and it left me exhausted every day. I'm saying it was physically intensive because it *was*.

I was on my feet and walking nearly all day, bending down with heavy books, standing up with heavy books, pushing heavy carts full of books. I got muscled, my thighs got real swole. My feet hurt. We were understaffed and pressured to go as fast as possible.

Replying to @Aella_Girl
Surely after a week of it you got used to it and were fine? That's what used to happen me in physically intensive jobs. One where I was moving 50kg bags of salt all day.

Naw not really. I maybe got slightly less exhausted over time? I did get better at doing the squats; my legs ached bad for the first few weeks until I developed the muscle. But it never stopped being exhausting.
