When I was a teen, I worked for $7.25/hr at a physically intensive job shelving books at an understaffed library. One day I told my coworker, who did same job as me, that I was planning on majoring in philosophy. "That's cool," he said, loading up a cart, "that was my major too!"

Truck driver and former oil field worker here. I can absolutely see how standing on your feet all day , while bending and standing up , and occasionally getting on foot stools to do repetitive actions is ‘physical intensive ‘ . You aren’t thinking it through

You are either an extreme specimen of a man unable to sympathize with us normal humans or you are just not thinking about this very hard and want to read her tweet uncharitably. She found it physically intensive . She never compared it to construction work or anything

I rarely say this, but you're a dumbass. I specified it was physically intensive because it left me absolutely exhausted, despite me being a physically active person with good stamina. And I was poor. If you'd told me as a teen I was being bourgeois I would have laughed at you.

I described it as physically intensive then, not just now. I've described it that way for years, well before I made this much. And no, I hadn't had a physically intensive job before that, but I was still very physically active at the time. And the job never got less exhausting.
