I'm curious: at what point would you personally be willing to renounce your US citizenship and move overseas to avoid punitive taxation? What fraction of your income would they have to tax before you had enough?

I've already seriously looked into this. I likely would have already if it were 1. easier to get a passport and 2. easier to visit my family after i renounced citizenship and 3. lack of clarity around whether the US will still attempt to tax me even after i renounce

I'm ok with noncoercive tax, or tax that is closely tied into "restitution for public harm"; e.g., if you pollute, we take money from you and put that money into environmentalism.
