I have a needle phobia, about to get needled; trying xanax for the first time. How strong is 0.5 mg? Will it be enough? Should I take 1mg? I'm 130lbs.

Is it for the vaccine, or something else? If vax, don't worry, it uses a TINY needle that you literally don't even feel going in

The anxiety is irrelevant to the reality of the situation, alas. It's a mental thing you can't get your body to rationalize away.

Yeah, I'm needle-phobic too, and was very anxious for my first shot, but after seeing what a nothingburger it was (compared to ordinary needles for blood draws) I didn't even think about it the second time
