I have a needle phobia, about to get needled; trying xanax for the first time. How strong is 0.5 mg? Will it be enough? Should I take 1mg? I'm 130lbs.

Benzos are serious shit that I wouldn't mess with. Try beta blockers instead.

if i dont do benzos, i often cannot physically force myself to go get medical work done. so its either benzos or maybe die

Do not take 1mg. If you have never taken it, .5 is enough that you may need a nap after.

Not sure, I haven't had a lot of them. I've used lorazepam before for needle anxiety, and needed 3mg to make it feasible. For lasik I needed 2.5 the dose of valium they initially fed me, i think 12.5mg? And that was only barely enough.
