sorry im on a negative criticism streak here lately but honestly the absolute narcissism of having a disagreement with someone on ideological terms and taking the frame that you are 'educating' them, like where the hell is the epistemic humility

the only times it's acceptable to tell someone else you're educating them in a disagreement is when it's specifically about very clear, concrete, uncontested facts, or if they're making basic mistakes in a *class you are teaching*
