I think having a very hard line stance against pedophilia is optimal and denying all avenues of entry is best practice on a cultural level.

Would need to see evidence re its impact on offending behaviours. Could be a substitute for offending, or could increase the desire to abuse real children. Could have no impact either way.

God damn what a question....I can understand both arguments. But I personally feel like that dark part of them shouldn't be indulged, even if it's not hurting others. I really doubt 100% of the people that try a doll wouldn't give in to their temptation to go to the real thing
