The woke people will hate you for disagreeing; we gotta combat this by accepting them despite disagreeing. When they ban you from their circles, let them into yours (given they are respectful and don't insult). Treat them with kindness, don't fight their hate with hate.

Cause this isn't sustainable if your goal is to suppress and shut up the woke, even if they want to do that to you. If the goal is to reach them, connect to them as humans, you have to remember the purpose is communication, not dominance. Kindness, not winning.

And yeah, sometimes you have to draw boundaries for self protection, and this is okay and good and don't feel guilty about that. But it's easy to *think* you're being threatened when you're not; it's better to err a on the side of taking a hurt you can bear, than hurting them.

Showing that you will not hurt them, even if they would hurt you, is the way to affect change. It might take a long time, it might need to be iterated, and it's not always feasible, but if we continually try to lean in that direction, people will notice.

In general we should be welcoming to people who were wrong but are fumbling towards being right. That's never a time to dunk. If nothing else, act to produce good incentives.

Alt right people do this constantly to me whenever [I expose ambiguity on a subject and left-leaning people attack me for it]. I have explicit ideological pre-commitments to not being affected by niceness over ideology but not everyone has those
