Do you get to remember the original outcome or is the lesson lost as well?

I think most of the opportunities are after the reset, not before - stock market profits, etc. But during the first day, you should spend as many political/personal/financial resources as you can on valuable information, since that's what you'll retain after.

The straightforward ones are monetary: buy a gift card, memorize the ID number. But also paying people for secrets, cashing in favors, ruining friendships, etc, for any info you might want. (Confessions of attraction, to learn if the other person reciprocates, even when false.)

Flirt gratuitously with everyone to properly gauge the level of interest people have in me Probably say a bunch of things to my parents to see how they take it generally this class of thing, socially irreversible moves

this makes sense, if you have a free day with absolutely no consequences, you might as well limit test to your almost utmost ability, anything else is probably a huge waste.
