I'm feeling sad about the reaction to the recent shooting. Though the shooter specifically expressed sex worker targeted hatred, and though sex workers experience a much higher % of violence than asians, I've seen only a tiny fraction of the solidarity given to sex workers.

Like, some solidarity to Asians, I get it - but almost all of it? Is the sex worker part here just totally invisible to people? This situation makes it really clear which groups are more likely to get public support, and which don't, and now I'm sad.

From what I've seen, major news sources are obfuscating the sex worker angle. Most people are ignoring it. I've seen high profile voices refer to this as a shooting at an "Asian owned buisness." That's not wrong but it is not really correct in the way they think

If it makes you feel any better I suspect this has more to do with popular anti-white sentiment than antipathy to sex workers. If it couldn't be used as a cudgel in this way the SW angle would likely get more traction.

I hope this doesn’t get me blocked because I like your page but I think it could be that many ppl see it as a morally bankrupt profession that shouldn’t be encouraged. It’s like asking why there is no sympathy for drug dealers that get shot to death? Kinda comes w/ the territory

"Sex worker" doesn't show up on the intersectionality matrix of oppression adopted by the woke, and doesn't give the media an easy Trump attack vector to farm for clickbait. None of this is about morality, it's about pumping echo chambers for profit.
