Right, the idea that everybody just brushes it off as necessary is crazy to me. Like welp we have to do it so don't question it.
Like imo it should be viewed as a moral outrage that is necessary to some degree and we should reduce it as much as possible

There's lots of reasons people help each other without being obligated to by some higher system. The best system works when helping other people is aligned with their own incentives, when it helps them for some reason
