imo vaguely points to sexual fantasies not being as pliable/culturally informed to the same degree as other mating behaviors. but if its more "inherent" or whatever, WHYYY is it mismatched between men and women? thats a weird thing for evolution to do

but even if that's not the answer - why is this not one of the most common points of research and discussion i do not understand. this feels like a giant gurgling pit of juicy findings to pull out and write articles about and then get into wars on twitter over.

Evolution doesn't make everything perfect, it just does what works. If women being sexually submissive is enough and the species as a whole isn't struggling for survival then there is no pressure to make men match up with that behaviour

it is not mismatched. Women direct their rape fantasies towards CERTAIN men. Probably 90+% subconsciously. It would be inadaptive for most men to want to rape ANY women as they would be avoided.
