Women are way more into sexual submission than anything else, and men are sorta vaguely 'into everything.' This is one of the most fascinating things to me. So far I've heard some casual theories about why this is, but not the level of discourse I'd expect from something so wild

imo vaguely points to sexual fantasies not being as pliable/culturally informed to the same degree as other mating behaviors. but if its more "inherent" or whatever, WHYYY is it mismatched between men and women? thats a weird thing for evolution to do

unless evolution drummed its fingers together, cackled evilly, and said "fewer men reproduce than women, and we need to make only a few men chads and the rest can just go be turned off by rape fantasies and help around the house" IN WHICH CASE THIS IS FRIGGIN WILD

but even if that's not the answer - why is this not one of the most common points of research and discussion i do not understand. this feels like a giant gurgling pit of juicy findings to pull out and write articles about and then get into wars on twitter over.

I’ve been extremely aroused fulfilling a former lover’s rape fantasy! But it wasn’t until we negotiated parameters and consent was given that I was able to get into that frame of mind. It was so erotic for me that now I actively seek out partners for that scene.

As far as your first question, I would assume it's based on a false premise. Men are lying.

took a partner 2 years to admit that they were into rape fantasies. lots of associated shame & conditioning to overcome. i imagine more men would admit to being into 'consensual non-consent' or 'forced play' tho these more sanitized terms lack the same inherent transgressiveness

It’s a lot less creepy and threatening if a woman has that fantasy but her male partner does not, than vice versa.
