Yes I did. I consider the idea to be my life’s work and main vocation apart from graphic design to pay the bills.

Scammy commerical gurus bank on the folk theory of enlightenment as their main marketing conceit. They would not have any business if they were truly honest about the effects of self-realization on a person’s life.

I've talked to a number of people who imo think they're enlightened (or something close to it) in a... sort of self help way, but also whatever it is they've been doing does actually seem to have improved their life.

According to them? And in different ways. They say things like they're now happier, more able to do things, have clarity about their life.
