Would you lie about having comorbidities or your employment in order to get a covid vaccine in the next week, assuming you haven't already been vaccinated/had covid, and assuming they don't check to verify?

I'm technically a front-line worker and could zoom to the front of the line with EMTs and police officers "legally". But my actual job has zero public interaction, so I wait. IMO it's the only fair choice.

I spent most of the time sitting alone in my house for over a year, i can do it for two-three more months waiting for my turn, if it saves lives.

Am I one of the few amoral ones?
I mostly agree with the gov's criteria for vaccine rollout, but some of the Social Justicey guidelines are bullshit, so I would feel fine lying.

I'm young and have had covid, so I have a reasonable degree of protection. It'd be nice to get the vaccine for peace of mind, but it'd be heinously unethical to get it while we're still supply constrained (rather than demand constrained).

I meet the requirements to be vaccinated - comorbidities, essential worker - but can't get it because IL just doesn't seem to be getting vaccine. Or maybe i'm just not rich enough.

Where I live and work (Washington, DC metropolitan area), a significant number of people have security clearances. Such a lie, if detected -- and I see the probability of detection as non-trivial -- would likely mean a swift end to one's career.

All this sturm and drang about the exact ordering of priorities during the short temporary period of roll out is way over blown and being manipulated to create political outrage. In a few weeks there will be enough for anyone who wants one to go into a retail pharmacy and get one

If people don’t yet qualify and want the vaccine, they should try to volunteer at a distribution site or sign up for one of the end of day throwaway lists if they use low risk people as backup. Any vaccine in the trash is much worse than a vaccine in any arm.
