On women, two overlooked things that contribute to 'hot face' is short midface, and wide mouth.
If the distance from the top of your lip to the bottom of your eyes is really short, and if your smile 'wraps around' your face, then congrats u r probably cute

Most of my makeup effort goes into shortening my midface; I drag an illusory shadow underneath my eyes and apply brush horizontally, as well as overline upper lip and draw a false cupid's bow dip shadow. maybe ill do a pic analysis for yall sometime

I was researching face shapes for a story I’m writing. Round, Oval, Heart, Diamond, Rectangular, Square. I’m partial to oval. Do you think that there is a correlation between midface length and these shapes?

to some degree but not necessarily? face shapes talk about the outside of the face; midface is specifcially about the distance between mouth and eyes, and that can vary a lot independently of the face shape.

Honestly, all you have to do is look at cartoons, comics, and anime over the last 50 years. They're predominately drawn by males for males, so it's just a subconscious projection of the desired ratios.

Really? People like wide mouths on women? I've literally never heard a guy say this. It's always smaller mouth with pillowy lips that I hear about. Like they're about to kiss.

Great make up tips! I would add bringing the front cheekbones forward (lighter) as it mimics the facial development of ppl w/ a short midface + fills the midface
