I don't feel, on principle, opposed to the idea that women are less intelligent than men. It seems unlikely this is true, but I don't think the question is bad to ask.
The real issue is why are you so afraid of the possibility that someone is an IQ point or two lower than you?

If how much you respect and value people hinges so much on small differences in intelligence, then it would make sense that you are unable to entertain possibilities that associate, even super generally and with high variance, different IQ with different groups.

Lots of ppl fear that any "evidence" of differences across populations might give ammunition to those inclined to find those populations less valuable and worthy of fewer rights.
The classically liberal counter is: every person is equally valuable because they are human.

Perhaps the other side of this question is:
"Why are people so afraid from the possibility that others are one or many IQ points higher than them and that was decided from their birth?"

It's conceivable that brain function differs in some fundamental ways by biology in the same way it does between species, but in the social sense, we need "both kinds" for species survival. Defining intelligence is a fool's game.

Larger brains, far superior intellectual achievements in present time and all recorded history, higher scores on standardized batteries, which are made to equalize the sexes. I don't see why one would believe something other than male superiority here.

It just makes it pretty hard to date women one standard deviation below me which I suspect is most women. They are just so boring. I try to overlook it in order to get laid, but I think they think I'm talking down to them. I try not to do this.

One time, I was trying to calibrate to her level to avoid the double bind of either mansplaining something she knew all ready or boring her with shit she wouldn't care nor understand. She lost interest right then and there. #Aspie4Life

The mean IQ is pretty similar but the variance is a lot different.
There are a lot more male geniuses but also a lot more male idiots.
I think it's a similar deal for other traits like height.
