I'm not arguing that everybody should go poly, or that it's best for everybody. I'm arguing: 1-Monog ppl have lots of severe misconceptions about polyamory 2-Monogamy is in the water supply; a lot of people don't 'actually' have a poly option or know they'd be happier poly

Monogamous people *constantly* misunderstand and judge polyamory and repeat this stuff loudly - one of the most egregious offenders being a confusion between exclusivity and commitment. Poly people "aren't serious" or "can't raise healthy kids."

Predicted that one. I think there is a solid body of evidence that children are better off with stable father and mother figures. As you'd expect from evolutionary psychology. Anyways, let me rephrase: "Is there evidence that poly people raise kids as well as monogamous people?".

People just assume poly people arent stable. Lots of poly people are long term dedicated triads or something and the kid effectively just has 3+ parents, or 2 parents + multiple other semiregular caretakers (similar to grandparents or aunts and uncles) in their life
