I have ADHD/executive dysfunction/autism or something that makes it difficult for me to operate in my daily life, like keeping things clean/errands. Also I like being on the computer a *lot*, and fucking off on adventures. Has anybody like me had kids and not regretted it?

Yes but that is a bit subjective and difficult to grade without professional analysis. I'd say a LOT of people would fit in your description or a similar one, myself included. My point is that just because you feel weird or different from other people doesn't mean you have autism

This is something I'm sort of dealing with now. Several people in my life have said that I'm autistic but I don't know how accurate their conclusions are. It's like I'm aesthetically autistic or psychosomaticaly autistic. None of the "no eye contact" but lots of systemizing.

So you're unconventional. Sometimes I think of myself as aspy/auty or the like, but most days I'm happy with the description: unconventional.

There's a distinction between unwilling and uncapable. I think that's the question.

It's really interesting. I used to think autistic people didn't make eye contact because they didn't think faces held any inherent information. That's sort of how I think of faces. Turns out that making eye contact can be extremely uncomfortable for autistic people.

And this is fair. I am diagnosed with a bunch of shit but the issue with self-diagnosis is that it precludes false conclusions and self medicating — simply reflecting on the fact that you can’t executive function is important and any doc would b happy to hear it
