Part of the damage from doing porn comes from people thinking doing porn is damaging

You say part of the damage? A big part or a little part relative to the rest of the damage other than perception? Not being (deliberately) annoying, just trying to understand your view

It depends on how broadly you wanna define it; I think in a world with many decades of 100% acceptance for doing porn, then the downsides of porn would be roughly equivalent to most other jobs.

I don’t think the actual act of doing porn is damaging, more like the industry is filled with a lot of bad actors preying on young girls who don’t have a stable head on their shoulders. For every Asa Akira, there’s so many who end up not well adjusted, taken advantage of,

What percentage of porn nowadays is produced by big studios vs independent, since the advent of onlyfans?
But yeah I mean ppl misleading young people about their future to extract value from them is common, we see the same problem with college loans

The people that do porn aren’t the problem. The problem is that it is highly addictive and is extremely harmful for people hooked on watching it.

Well, yeah, but the word 'part' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
The same could be said of anything w/ negative social perception.
