the fact that there's no linguistic distinction between racism as personal immorality, and racism as a systemic problem that disproportionately impacts certain groups, regardless of the personal morality of the people involved in the system, makes things really confusing.

not only is there no distinction here, but people actively try to conflate systemic racism with the personal morality of people operating within said system, in a way that doesn't lead to the correct policy solutions
