as far as I know there's nothing you can do on your end. they have to go and flag your email address as "not spam" basically so it'll appear in their main inbox

If you have a signature, change it up and see if that changes where it gets sent. I adjusted the spacing and it fixed it. Hope it's something ez to fix like this.

If your gmail account name is like your twitter handle, that is likely enough to flag it as spam, so there might not be any real solution except to choose a different user name. (I have seen this happen to other people before.)

I migrated from gmail to protonmail at the beginning of this year bc I grew worried that Google would lock me out of my email for committing thoughtcrimes.
@ProtonMail's cool except for 1 downfall: it has no option to stay logged after closing the browser
