I hate how I just don’t get poems, or rather how seldom I do. When someone says how much they like a poem and it doesn’t affect me, I feel like there is something wrong with me and I try to get into a headspace to understand and I end up frustrated. Sorry, just sharing to share.

probably not you, most poems are trash, and the tiny sliver that aren't trash to you will be trash to someone else
