This is vague enough that I consider it dangerous; if you manage to put this into a more specific claim that can't also be used to shame a lot of things that shouldn't be shamed, I'd be more open to it

Do you mean something like, there's not actually wrong with e.g. necrophilia in a vacuum and I wouldn't shame someone in a vacuum, but I'm worried other people might hear the lack of shame as permission to do damaging things I don't agree with, so it's dangerous to not shame?

But also I think you're not wrong, I do think gaining greater permissiveness over our urges, and the ability to carry them out, does have ripple effects. I think likely I view society as a constant Integration of ripple effects, and you view it more as potential deviance
