I've eaten acid a LOT, and based on this expertise have spent the last 3+ years slowly assembling a playlist of the songs I think work best on LSD. I regularly add/remove songs to keep it updated.

It crosses a wide variety of genres, but not genres I really don't like. It tends to be more instrumental, and songs with words mostly involve things that might carry significant double-meanings when tripping. There's also a wide variety of moods, from joyous to very dark.

Not deliberately, but I have a lot of songs I like but don't put on the acid playlist. One extreme example is "Work Bitch" by Brittany Spears.
I find acid makes music more tangible. So a sound isn't a sound, it can be a dawn, or a rollercoaster, or a kaleidoscope.
So I always hated rough sounds, like punk guitars, and heavy mixes.
On The Run, by Pink Floyd, is a very tangible acid tune.
