POC are disproportionately impacted by poverty, which makes it harder for them in many areas of life. But shouldn't our reaction to this be helping the poor, most of which will be POC, instead of helping POC, of which a minority will be poor?

I think so? I have low confidence on this and open to changing my mind, but I'm under the impression there's lots of racially-based aid that isn't available to white people.

I think black ppl are worse off likely due to the racist (whether intentionally or not) drug sentencing laws a few decades ago which resulted in widespread broken black families, which in turn led to crime and poverty in black communities.

I think generally, systemic racism is over. I think the *effects* of systemic racism are still present with us. Pretty similar to a kid who was abused growing up, and is now an adult living on his own and is no longer abused, but now has lasting damage from the abuse.
