What's the low-key worst Twitter you've encountered? Five years ago, for instance, I would have had no idea that YA Twitter or philosophy Twitter could get so bad (not that everyone on either is bad, of course). What are some bad Twitters that have likewise flown under the radar?

The first rule of philosophy Twitter is that you do not talk about philosophy Twitter.

If it's professional philosophy Twitter being mentioned, it's 70% about whether and how to police intra-left controversies like trans stuff. 20% occasionally about grad-student related things like hiring or publishing or admissions. 10% philosophy.

Found philosophy twitter recently. Find Jason Stanley and follow the breadcrumbs. For connected (though differing) reasons, try Kathleen Stock, Liam Bright, and Nigel Warburton as well. Aside the various beefs, all are actually decent follows too in fairness!

Jason Stanley is a good starting point. The best beefs I’ve seen are between grad students though, usually involving something to do with culture war. I’ll send you a link next time I encounter
