I don't think it's nonstandard. The dictionary definition was changed recently and I think most people still actually use the old one. Ill do a poll!

I'm wondering if the demographics of this changed ir remained the same. In other words, it might be okay to be racist towards previously advantaged people now in many people's eyes.

I'd say you just attract a certain population of followers, and your Twitter account hasn't changed much in the last two years.
